Drunken Fruit Peach ICED Tea
Jump to Recipe
This boozy peach iced tea is my new summer fave! It’s the perfect blend of bourbon, freshly made iced tea, and Drunken Fruit Peach. If you’ve seen some of the other Drunken Fruit recipes on my site, then you know how much I love this Brooklyn-based business. If you’re not familiar, Drunken Fruit is organic fruit that is aged in a proprietary blend of alcohol. There are a number of different drunken fruits to choose from. And most importantly, it’s versatile. So you can eat it alone, add it to a cocktail, or use it to top your favorite dessert.
Typically, the husband and wife team behind the brand creates a delicious recipe. Then, I recreate it and snap some photos. This time, I had the honor of creating my own recipe with their Drunken Fruit Peach. So I made a boozy peach iced tea. I’ve tried almost every variety of Drunken Fruit and I think the peach is my absolute favorite. No surprise there-since I love peaches so much!
To start, I decided to make my own iced tea. I used a cold brew iced tea recipe I found on ohhowcivilized.com. Jee runs the site and is a Tea Sommelier. So she really knows her stuff when it comes to making tea. So after cold brewing my tea for 12 hours, I added 1 1/4 cup of honey syrup to sweeten it for the boozy peach iced tea recipe. But feel free to use a store-bought iced tea if that’s easier for you.
The Boozy Peach Iced Tea recipe also calls for honey syrup. Plain honey works too. But honey syrup, a combination of honey and warm water, is thinner. Therefore, it’s easier to combine with the other ingredients in the recipe. Simple syrup would also work well here. But I love the combo of bourbon and honey. *chef’s kiss*
