Gold Rush

If you like whiskey and whiskey sours, you will LOVE the Gold Rush. I know I do. It’s an, easy classic whiskey cocktail. But the thing that sets it over the top for me is the honey syrup. And don’t worry, the syrup is a breeze to make. You just combine warm water with honey. Adding the water is an essential step because it “thins” out the honey slightly to make it easier to combine with the other ingredients in the drink.

And the best part is, you can store any unused honey syrup in a sealed container in your fridge for up to 3 weeks. I recommend experimenting with it in other cocktails. Switching out sugar for honey as a sweetener in some of your favorite cocktails will give them the upgrade you never knew they needed. Cheers!
