Simple Syrup

As the name suggests, simple syrup is an easy to make classic that can be mixed in to just about any cocktail-mojitos, sangrias, margaritas...you name it. If your cocktails are a little too tart for your liking or the flavor is not as detectable as you’d like, you can add simple syrup about a teaspoon at a time to sweeten and amplify the taste.

Ingredients:

-1 cup water

-1 cup white, granulated sugar

Directions:

1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan

2.Cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved*

3. Turn down heat and let cool

4. Add to your next cocktail!

Store any unused portion in your fridge for up to 4 weeks.

*For an even easier version of this syrup, simply combine REALLY hot water from your faucet with sugar and whisk together until sugar is dissolved and voila!
