Special thanks to the folks at Torani for sponsoring this post. All opinions and views expressed are my own.
If you couldn’t tell, I prefer to drink my calories ...especially when it comes to dessert. So milkshakes tend to be my go-to treat when I’m in the mood for something sweet. And there’s no tastier milkshake than one that has booze in it. So grab your blender and let’s make this Spiked Chocolate Hazelnut Milkshake right now!
I’m giving you fair warning that you will want to make this milkshake all summer. And that’s because of the shake’s star ingredient, the Torani Puremade Chocolate Hazelnut Sauce. It’s creamy, rich, and best of all, it’s nut allergen-free! That means that even if you have a nut allergy, you can still indulge. The sauce comes in a convenient squirt bottle, which makes topping off any dessert a breeze. And you don’t have to worry about making a mess.
My favorite thing about this sauce and all of Torani’s Puremade products is how versatile they are. You can use them to make all sorts of beverages from coffee to tea to lemonades and much more. And they make delectable toppings for desserts too. But above all, their products are free of artificial flavors and preservatives. You know I only drink the good stuff!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Torani Puremade Chocolate Hazelnut Sauce: This is the ingredient that separates this milkshake from the rest. It’s decadent and thick. And you can add as much or as little as you'd like. You can even add a small (or huge) drizzle to top it off. Head to torani.com to grab a bottle for yourself.
Rum: I recommend white rum. But vodka and tequila blanco also work pretty well here. If you’re looking for a non-boozy or kid-friendly version, feel free to leave the alcohol out. It will be (almost) just as delicious.
Milk: Any milk works here-dairy, plant-based, nut milk, the list goes on. The beauty of this recipe is that all milk is fair game. So use what you have and are most comfortable with.
Vanilla ice cream: The ice cream serves as the base. And you can sub in a non-dairy vanilla ice cream if you’d like. If you prefer a thicker shake, I recommend adding an additional scoop of ice cream to the mix.
Whole hazelnuts: Although these are an optional ingredient, I highly recommend them as they add texture to the shake. I like my milkshakes creamy and with a bit of a crunch. So these are a must for me. I also fine-chopped some in my blender and used them to rim my glass.
Whipped Cream: This is another optional ingredient. But it adds an extra layer of sweet and makes for a milkshake that’s as pretty as it is tasty.
Are you convinced yet? Of course you are. So head to torani.com to grab your own bottle of their Chocolate Hazelnut Sauce. You won’t regret it! Cheers!
